Just because overweight people are more prone to cancer and disease, that doesn’t give slender people an automatic clean bill of health. Some people have much higher metabolisms, better genetics, and healthier lifestyles that give them their slim figure, but even with a slim figure, you still have to be aware of what you’re consuming.

Being trim doesn’t give you a free pass to eat all the junk food you want without any repercussions. Most junk food and fast food items contain preservatives – especially if you’ve ever seen how long a French fry can last without molding.

These preservatives are carcinogens that create cancerous cells when eating excessive amounts for long durations of time. Bad food choices – high in calorie, carbs, fats, and maybe even protein – may be good for energy production.

However, these high-energy sources of food turn into fat cells if the energy isn’t used, and fat leads to inflammation – which leads to even more fat production. These foods not only create more fat, but are also poor choices of nutrients due to the lack of fruits and veggies. Continue reading
