Leading a healthy life doesn’t have to be complicated and you certainly don’t need to say goodbye to desserts either. The beauty of eating well is in finding new and innovative ways to satisfy your sweet tooth but in healthier ways.

Deprivation need not be your downfall, as there are hundreds of healthy dessert recipes online, and of course, you can always enjoy the basics like fruit. You don’t have to stop there, though, there is plenty of other ideas right here.

1 – Crushed Raspberry Cream

You don’t need to do any cooking here, and the preparation time is minimal. If you don’t love raspberries, you can try a different berry, but the tartness of the raspberry adds another layer of flavor to this treat. You’ll only need the fruit, caster sugar, meringue shells, light sour cream, and Greek yogurt.

Sprinkle (some of) the sugar in with the fruit and crush your berries as you do so. Fold the yogurt and sour cream together with the rest of the sugar and the meringue. Serve your raspberries and top with the creamy mixture. Simple, low fat, and delicious. Continue reading

1 – Always Choose Whole Grains

The problem with refined grains is they’ve been so processed they have lost the majority of their nutrients and value. Always choose the whole grains.

That means brown rice, oatmeal, wheat berries, barley, quinoa, buckwheat, amaranth, farro, millet, Bulgar wheat, and freekeh. The reason they are more nutritious is that they’re still intact and unprocessed.

2 – Get Fruity
