Most experts agree you should be taking in 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight (0.36 grams per pound). If you weigh 150 pounds, you should get about 52 g of protein daily. A 180 pound person would be shooting for roughly 62 g of protein each day. If you are an athlete, a bodybuilder or extremely active, you need 10% to 20% more protein.

Eat some protein at every meal.

This helps normalize your thyroid function. Proteins can come from healthy animal-based foods like grass-fed meats, organic chicken and eggs, and wild-caught salmon. Walnuts, almonds and cashews, nut butters and quinoa are also high in protein. Edamame, tempeh, beans and lentils, almonds, chia and pumpkin seeds, spinach, avocado and broccoli sprouts are other natural sources of protein.

Start Eating More Healthy Fats

Keep a water bottle or container with you wherever you go, and sip water throughout the day. Exercise
